The world is moving fast these days and I have lots to report since my March update.

It is now clear that the COVID-19 outbreak leaves countless people with new and unanticipated civil legal challenges such as securing unemployment benefits, staying housed, guarding against abuse and much more.

State and local governments can help stimulate the economy and get more money following, all without cutting checks on already-strained budgets by waiving and eliminating old unpaid fines and fees that have been imposed on Dane County residents for minor traffic and municipal citations.
