Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of Social Work at UW-Madison

Lonnie’s research focuses on how economic resources, sociodemographic characteristics, and public policies affect parental behaviors and child and family wellbeing. He utilizes sophisticated statistical techniques to analyze data from large-scale datasets to inform public policy in order to improve its capacity to assist families. He has expertise in large-scale program evaluation and use of administrative data.
